Website redesign and development for a biome company
BiomX is a public microbiome company developing customized phage therapies designed to target and destroy harmful bacteria in chronic diseases. They approached us after having been rebranded to redesign and build their website. In order to match the image of top-level biotech companies, the client desired a refreshed website. Check out the website.
The new website should serve various audiences: investors, journalists, and other Pharma companies. It should deliver the information in an exact, accessible way and help users quickly understand what the company does.
The website's focal points are the Pipeline and Technology pages, which are information-heavy and contain complicated charts. We easily and conveniently laid it out to reduce the visual load and used custom solutions for mobile devices.
Understanding the industry
Before moving on to creating the website, we needed to understand its niche better. As a Pharma company that deals specifically with phage therapy, we needed to learn the industry, the products, and the target audience. For that, we conducted a stakeholder interview and a competitive analysis.
From UX to UI
With the research data available to us, we went on to the design stage. We used the pre-existing rebranding and applied it to the designs. We used the brand colors, shapes and symbols, and typography. We used it to break the rigid structure of the page into a more flowing layout.
The investors' section involved a third-party code implementation, which added to the challenge in addition to the tight timeline of the project. All-in-all, this project was fulfilling; we used new technologies and methods and got an insight into this fascinating industry!
