Kidum

UX & UI design for a leading LMS

Kidum is one of the leading educational organizations in Israel. As part of an ambitious project, it decided to upgrade its LMS – learning management system and improve its interface for the students, teachers, and managers. In addition, we designed a new, innovative work process to bring the system to the forefront of technology. Our goal was to provide a high- quality service to the company and its students.

The challenge

It was important for us to characterize and prioritize the products, understand the client’s needs, and manage its multi-interface communication system. The program’s objective was to connect different process flows and link external information to the organizational system.

How to turn an old system into the most innovative system in Israel?

This project was one of the most challenging ones, both for us and for the client. It included hundreds of screens that required characterization, design and development, prioritizing features and ensuring adaptation to the organization’s strategy. We needed to ensure that the system is suitable for the existing business model. Our goal was to design a user- experience that will lead the users to action.

Design sprint workshop

During the workshop, we gathered the client’s representatives and our team for a busy week. The teams spent several days in our office in a concentrated effort to understand the client’s aim, its LMS, its main features and how to achieve them. By the end of the workshop, Kidum had several practical ideas and extensive learning experience.

Innovative, modern design that meets the students’ expectations

One of the challenges was implementing a new graphic language into the system, based on the client’s brand. We renewed the entire color palate, the fonts and the design templates. A clean, up to date design was created. We did this without compromising the client’s user experience and kept the process simple and efficient.
