Bounce Rate

Definition:

Bounce rate is a term that describes the percentage of website visitors who leave the site after having viewed only one single page, as opposed to navigating to other pages.

Information:

A user bounces when there is zero engagement with the website landing page, and the visit ends with one single-page visit. This helps website owners and marketers determine user interest and serves to help decide what website aspects require optimization. Basically, a bounce rate is a metric that indicates a webpage’s quality or the “quality” of its audience. By audience quality, we mean whether or not the audience matches the website’s purpose.
